Dear Passengers
In the Indian calendar, the month of April has a special place. The traditional New Year is being celebrated in many parts of our country this month. From Ugadi and Vishu in the South to Gudi Padwa in the West and Baiskahi in the North, the New Year is ushered in with rituals, fanfare and celebrations to mark auspicious beginnings.
I wish you and your families seasons greetings and also hope that the New Year will further our commitment of giving wings to every Indian. Our business model aims to provide the most affordable fares along with the largest numbers of destinations for our passengers. We keep our operations simple and non time consuming, one example of which is free seating for passengers on all our flights. We however, provide the facility of priority boarding on a daily basis to all elderly passengers, people needing special assistance, women traveling with infants and children along with the first 30 passengers to check in on an Airbus flight and the first 15 passengers to check in on an ATR flight. For passengers with special requirements, we provide wheel chair assistance, which can be procured upfront at the airport ticketing counter at least 2 hours prior to departure. For those of you not aware of these provisions I hope this information will assist you in organizing your travel plans to suit your requirements.

Our aim is to leverage the best technology to offer the most efficient and innovative services to our passengers. We recently migrated onto a superior reservation system powered by Radixx. The new system will feature a superior Deccan website (www.airdeccan.net). Our passengers can now get information on Deccan fares not just for a particular day but also a day earlier and a day later. Information will also be available on connecting (via flights) between cities that do no have direct Deccan flights. In the near future the system will also offer the facility of looking up the lowest fares for a period of time, thus enabling people to better plan their travel budgets and schedules. In the meantime however, if you encounter any flight booking or related issues please call our 24/7 all India call centre HELPDESK at 39008888 (prefix city code) Continuing our quest to give wings to all towns and cities of historical and cultural importance, we have added two more destinations onto our network. Deccan flights between Delhi and Dharamshala (via Pathankot), and between Delhi and Shimla will be launched this month. Incidentally, Pathankot will be connected to Dharamshala (in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh) for the first time by air. Air connectivity to Shimla and the Kangra valley will provide a viable and affordable travel option to scores of mountaineers and holiday makers traveling to Himachal Pradesh.
