Tele Check-in FAQs

What is Tele Check-In?

Deccan's Tele Check-in facility allows the Guest to call the 24 / 7 All India Call Centre at 39008888 (prefix city code) and check in, thereby reducing time spent in long queues at check-in counters at the airport.
Once the Guest has Tele Checked-in, he / she must report for check-in at the airport counter 30 minutes before the standard time of departure.

Who can use the Tele Check-In facility?

The Tele check-in facility can be availed by any Guest who holds a valid Deccan ticket with a valid Ticket Number (PNR). Tele check-in is currently available:

  • For all Deccan sectors / flights.
  • For all Deccan Guests carrying only 1 piece of cabin baggage.

When can I Tele Check-In?

You can call between 24 hours and 2 hours prior to their flight departure and Tele Check-in.

Tele Check-in is not possible prior to 24 hours of the flight departure and within 2 hours of flight departure.
  Who cannot use Tele Check-in?

Tele check-in is not available for Guests carrying checked-in baggage.
Guests carrying only Cabin Baggage can avail of this facility. If the Guest is carrying any baggage to be checked-in, he/she will have to come to the airport and go through the normal check-in procedure.
Guests are permitted to carry only one piece of Cabin Baggage weighing a maximum of 10 Kgs per Guest and not exceeding:

  • 20x14x9 inches in dimension for Airbus flights.
  • 20x13x9 inches in dimensions for ATR flights

If the cabin baggage exceeds the stated limits it will have to be checked in. In the event that the total checked-in baggage exceeds the free allowance, an excess baggage charge of Rs 70/- per kg will be incurred. It is recommended that all valuable articles are only carried in the cabin baggage.

Due to airport security regulations, no cabin baggage is allowed on flights departing from the Leh, Jammu  and Srinagar airports, however checked-in baggage allowance is 25kgs per Guest on these flights.
Is Tele Check-in available for all Deccan flights?

Yes, Tele check-in is available for ALL DECCAN FLIGHTS.

Can I use Tele check-in for Deccan return flight?

Yes, you can use Tele Check-in for Return flights as long as the Tele check-in is done between 24 hours and 2 hours prior to their flight departure. Boarding passes for each Guest per journey will be generated separately and the Guest will have to collect the same from the appropriate airport.

For e.g.  If the Guest is flying from Bangalore to Delhi and back then the boarding pass for the Bangalore – Delhi sector will have to be collected from the Bangalore airport and the boarding pass for the Delhi – Bangalore sector will have to be collected from the Delhi airport at the time of return.
Is Tele Check-in allowed for a Ticket Number (PNR) with more than one Guest

Tele Check-in is allowed for any number of Guests (a maximum of 9) on a single Ticket Number (PNR).

Can I cancel my flight after Tele checking in?

Cancellation cannot be done online or through the travel agent after the Tele check-in procedure has been completed.

The Guest will need to call up our 24 / 7 All India Call Centre at 39008888 (prefix city code), go the Airport Counter or the City Office Counter to cancel the ticket.

All standard Cancellation policies will apply.

Can I re-schedule my flight after Tele checking in?

Re-scheduling cannot be done online or through the travel agent after the Tele check-in procedure has been completed. The Guest will need to call up our 24 / 7 All India Call Centre at 39008888 (prefix city code), go the Airport Counter or the City Office Counter to reschedule the ticket.

All standard Rescheduling policies will apply.
What happens if I use Tele Check-in, but then can't make the flight?

Guests who Tele check-in but are unable to reach the airport in time are deemed as no-show Guests and are denied boarding without refund (except for the passenger service fee of Rs. 225/-).

How do I collect my boarding pass after Tele Check-in?

Once you have Tele Checked-in, you must report for check-in at the airport counter 30 minutes before the standard time of departure and collect your boarding card with your valid photo identity card.
Tele checked-in Guests not collecting their boarding passes 30 minutes prior to flight departure will be considered as NOSHOW Guests.

Can Deccan tickets booked at all points of sale, be Tele checked in?

Yes, Deccan tickets booked at any point of sale can be Tele checked-in.

What happens if Deccan cancels or delays a flight beyond 2 hours after Tele Check-in? 

After Tele checking-in, in case the flight gets cancelled or delayed beyond two hours, as per present policies a full refund or a free re-scheduling of the ticket will be entitled to the Guest.
However, the ticket will have to be first de-checked in and then cancelled for a full refund or re-scheduled to a later date.
The Guest will need to call up our 24 / 7 All India Call Centre at 39008888 (prefix city code), go the Airport Counter or the City Office Counter to de-check-in the ticket.

Please note that in case of a flight delay, the de-check-in and the cancellation or re-scheduling will have to be done before the departure of the flight else the ticket will be a no-show and the standard no-show policies will be applicable.

Can a travel agent make changes to a booking that has been Tele checked in?

No changes can be made by the Travel Agent to the reservation once the ticket has been Tele checked in. The Guest will need to call the 24 /7 All India Call Centre at 39008888 (prefix city code) to make any modifications to the ticket.

Will a seat number be assigned to me when I Tele check-in? 

Yes. A seat number will be assigned at the time of Tele Check-in.
Guests who tele check-in on emergency seats are bound by the rules of the emergency exit seats given below:
  • Understands oral & written English or Hindi.
  • Be able to and willing to carry out evacuation procedures in the event of and emergency.

These seats are not allotted for:
  • Aged Guests
  • Expectant Mothers
  • Sick Guests
  • Guests below 15 years of age & Guests with Infants
  • Disabled / Impaired Guests
Can a Guest availing special services like 'wheel chair' use the Tele check facility?

No, Tele check-in restricted and not-available for:

  • Guests with special service requirement such as wheel chair, unaccompanied minor, visual and hearing impairment are not eligible for tele check-in.
Can a Guest' use the Tele check facility on a Deccan via flight?

Yes, you can use Tele Check-in for via flights.
You can tele Check-in between 24 hours and 2 hours prior to flight departure.
Boarding passes for each Guest per journey will be generated separately and the Guest will have to collect the same from the airport check-in counter.

For e.g.  If the Guest is flying from Bangalore to Jaipur via Mumbai then the boarding pass for the Bangalore – Mumbai and the Mumbai – Jaipur sectors will have to be collected from the Bangalore airport check-in counter itself.
